Winter, the cold, yet beautiful days of this season.

We all love going on holidays. A special occasion when people (especially students) get to relax, socialise more, drink some hot beverages while relaxing in their houses and have a good time. A magnificent experience that all of us enjoy. This could also mean that some interesting events happen in which said people get involved, right ?

Well, that is indeed true. But not when talking about me.

Being a person, who does not “move” a lot I tend to serf the internet and find thing that I enjoy online. This probably goes to most of the current generation (Y, Y-Z, Z generations) and could be considered good and bad at the same time.

But that is also the reason why…”my” (and many…student’s) holidays are rather uneventful. Hence the title.

Instead of running around and experiencing thing I sat back on my chair and decided to watch movies. But not just any movies, rather…Soviet movies !

Soviet movies…ah, a beautiful part about the previous (and, surprisingly, the current) culture of both Russia and many other post-soviet states.

Whenever I watch a soviet movie something happens, a “click” inside of my mind that makes it insanely hard to stop watching them. The characters, the plot, the “Russian/Soviet soul”…..and many other reasons create an amazing atmosphere that no one can simply recreate and achieve in other works.

And that’s what I’ve been doing. Reading books, relaxing, and watching these loverly movies.

One of these movies was “Nyebesniy Tihohod (Heavenly Slug)”. A lighthearted, comedic, romantic and friendly movie about three soviet airforce soldiers which made a bet to “never fall in love”, which..they break later on in the movie. (after all, love is an unstoppable force…one cannot simply ignore it). Whenever you have a chance watch the movie. It could also give you an insight on how Soviet people (and soldiers) behaved at the time (both in times of peace and the time of WW2).

So, yes, that is…all I wanted to say. Nothing much, but still something. Have a nice day/evening/night, reader. And safe travels to you !
