good day to you, my loverly reader !

oh well, winter holidays have come to an end and now university lectures shall take their place. But what happened in those russian winter holidays ?

To be honest…nothing much. But just how uneventful were they ?

Alright, they were “quite eventful”. So, let’s begin, shall we ?

We start off with the honored Russian tradition of celebrating the “literal” coming of “The new year !” (in this case — the coming of 2021). The celebration went as always: the president’s speech, lots of drinks (from fizzy drinks to, well, the stereotypical alcoholic drinks) and a bunch of tasty food. Followed with country-wide alcoholic withdrawal. Good thing I refuse to drink alcohol, but I cannot say that to the rest of my country’s population.

Then…internet surfing. Lots and lots of internet surfing.

and yet we should remember that the internet is full of surprises. From false information, to real and confirmed documentations, to something beyond comprehension. in any case, let’s stop beating around the bush and just keep going on with the positive stuff that I, a random Russian student, has went through.

And the first thing that I did was attending online concerts. I’d usually play games or read books about history and philosophy, but something compelled me to attend them. And good lord was I impressed. The concerts were about classical russian music: the kind that people abroad keep talking about. The way the performed, the sounds, the harmony….ah, the wonders of my nation’s culture…

Second event: The commissariat ! yay….my “favourite”. The accursed, yet important commissariat has returned once again to plague my life. (and many others). Well, long story short: waiting for military ID, then unexpectedly being called INTO the commissariat is not fun, ESPECIALLY when you need to attend absolutely important lectures (and even…exams). Let’s just say…everything is still not stabilised.

And lastly: a gift to my soon-to-be birthday. I can never stop telling how grateful I am for getting such an honorable, honest, loveable and caring family. If only all of us could say the same in Russian…if only…

Oh well, that is the end of this…story ?

Have a good day, my loverly reader…and a great beginning to this fresh, new year of 2021.

Good luck !
